A short ferry from Nydri (Lefkada) brings you to an island of dramatic sea caves, crystalline water and hillside villages that feel unchanged from decades ago. No cars on many of the best paths. One of the largest sea caves in Greece — named after the submarine that sheltered here in WWII. Accessible by boat. The cave opens into a cathedral-like chamber with extraordinary blue light. - 13:30 · Atherinos Beach
The best beach on Meganisi — a sandy cove with turquoise water accessible by a short path. Almost always empty. Lunch at the small taverna above. - 17:00 · Vathy Harbour
The main harbour village of Meganisi — a small cove lined with tavernas. Dinner here watching the boats. The freshest seafood on the island.

The second village of Meganisi — quieter than Spartochori, with a beautiful square shaded by plane trees and a small church. Morning coffee here before exploring the south of the island. - 10:30 · Limonari Beach
Remote pebble beach on the south coast, accessible only by boat or a long walk. Crystal clear water and complete solitude. - 13:00 · Ftelia Beach
Sandy beach on the east coast with views across to the Meganisi straits. Calm, shallow, family-friendly. - 16:00 · Nydri Ferry — Departure
Ferry back to Nydri on Lefkada. The 30-minute crossing passes the islands of Skorpios and Sparti.

Atherinos Beach
The best beach on Meganisi — a beautiful cove with turquoise water and almost no visitors. The small taverna above serves fresh fish and local wine. One of the most peaceful swimming spots in the Ionian.

Spilia Beach
