Marble villages, dovecotes, and the Cyclades' spiritual heart
Tinos is the Cyclades' spiritual heart — home to the Evangelistria church, the most important pilgrimage site in Greek Orthodoxy. Beyond the pilgrimage, the island hides 40 immaculate marble-paved villages built against granite hills, white dovecotes dotting terraced valleys, and some of the best food in the Cyclades. It escaped mass tourism because everyone was rushing to Mykonos next door.
